POONCH, Feb 8: A 16-year-old boy was injured after an apparently old landmine exploded in district Poonch district today.
Official sources said that one Mohd Yasar (16), son of Lal Din, a resident of Noorkote Mohalla, Potha in Poonch was injured as a land mine suddenly exploded. They said he suffered injuries in left foot and was shifted to District hospital, Poonch.
A police official while confirming the incident said it is believed that boy fiddling with the mine and it exploded. The Army and police party rushed to the site for spot examination.
