REASI, Dec 7: A minor boy went missing after he was attacked by a leopard near village Kansooli in Mahore area this evening.
Reports said a full grown leopard ambushed and picked up 8- year- old minor boy Rehmat Ali, son of Mohd Rafiq at the village when he was returning home from fields and escaped towards nearby forest. Some family members were also at some distance there in the fields and noticed this. They raised alarm and many villagers came out taking lathis and even guns. They started search for the boy and the wild beast but could not trace out till late this evening.
Locals of the area said that during last two years several attacks were committed on the villagers by this wild beast but Wild Life Department has failed to capture animal. They appealed to DC Reasi to look into the matter and direct the Wild Life department to launch operation in the village forest.
