JAMMU, Mar 29: Three persons including a minor girl was killed while 12 others were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
According to a police official, a pedestrian identified as Arun Sharma son of Narayan Dass, resident of Chak Murar (Bishnah), received serious injuries this morning when he was hit by a speeding mini-bus at Bhatyari (Bishnah) near Neelam Palace. He said that the injured man was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital, Bishnah, but in view of his serious condition, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident, a pedestrian namely Vicky Kumar (20) son of Tarsem Lal, resident of Kacha Talab (Bishnah), was hit and seriously injured by an unknown vehicle at KC Morh, Bishnah. He was taken to SUB District Hospital, Bishnah, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The third accident took place this afternoon at Channi near SDDM Hospital, where a bike (registration number JK02A-6804) was hit by a rashly driven Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02AW-8189. In the mishap, a 3-year-old girl namely Kritika daughter of Vipan Kumar, resident of Bhagwanpur (Bishnah), who along with her mother and maternal uncle, was travelling on the bike, sustained serious injuries. She was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where she succumbed to her injuries after few hours.
In all the three cases, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities and the cases were registered by the concerned police.
Meanwhile, 12 persons were injured this evening when a Tata Mobile in which they were going on, turned turtle at flyover near entrance gate of Government Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu. All of them were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
The injured were identified as Mohd Bilal (35) son of Hakam Din, Nazir Ahmed (53) son of Mehandi, Meedhu (37) son of Bashir Ahmed, Saifu (40) son of Kaka, Murad Ali (40) son of Shetu, Munshi (55) son of Ilam Din, Abdul Hamid (22) son of Abdul Rashid, Jambo (50) wife of Mashoor Ali, Bibi (45) wife of Abdul Gani, Hazoora Bibi (42) wife of Reham Ali, Mohd Latif (32) son of Shah Mohd and Manzoor Ahmed (13) son of Mohd Kazi, all residents of Channi Thalora (Phlian Mandal).
Bus Stand police had registered a case in this connection.
