RAJOURI, July 1: A minor girl was electrocuted after she was trapped in a live broken cable of the Power Development Department in Kalakote area.
Official sources said that incident took place at around 11.30 am when 13-years-old Deepika Kesar, daughter of Sham Lal Sharma , resident of Treru village was moving on the road and got trapped in the live broken cable of the PDD. With severe burn injuries and electric shocks, she was rushed to Taryath Hospital where she was declared as dead.
The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation. The people of the area have held PDD authorities responsible for the mishap and demanded compensation for the family.
