RAMBAN, Sept 4: A minor girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Sencha village here today.
After receiving information a police team reached the spot and shifted the body of the girl to District Hospital Ramban for conducting post-mortem and other formalities.
Police identified the deceased girl as Gogi Devi, 14, daughter of Pyar Singh, resident of Sencha, Tehsil and district Ramban.
Sources said the deceased girl was class VIII student at Upper Primary School Sencha.
SHO, Police Station Ramban, Inspector, Nayeem Ahmed Mattoo said after conducting post-mortem and other legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her family members for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
