UDHAMPUR, June 14: Mystery shrouded death of a minor girl, who was found dead at her house in village Maglot Kud while a young woman was critically injured when a rolling stone hit her while cutting grass for domestic animals.
According to the police reports, Minakshi Devi (13), daughter of Shiv Lal of village Manglot Kud, Tehsil Chenani, was found unconscious in her room. The family members rushed her to Sub District Hospital Chenani where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem. The police after completion of all the legal formalities, handed over the body to family members and registered the case under Section 174 for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a young woman, identified as Titro Devi (27) wife of Parbhat Singh of Khalla, Khadandra Valley, was seriously injured when a shooting stone hit her while cutting grass near her house at Badhota. She was shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Lander for first aid but the PHC was found closed due to holiday on account of Sunday following which the family members hired a private van by paying Rs 3500 to reach Udhampur District Hospital for the treatment.
Pertinent to mention that ambulance is not available in all the three PHCs of Moungri and Panchari Tehsils.
