RAJOURI, June 25: A minor girl was killed after she was hit by an unknown vehicle near Lamberi, on Jammu-Rajouri highway last night.
Official sources said that 7-year-old, Nourin Kouser, daughter of Mohd Shabir, resident of Dandesar was standing on the road side late last evening when an unknown Tempo-Traveller, hit the girl and sped away from the spot. The girl in serious condition was rushed to nearby hospital and then after preliminary treatment in Rajouri hospital, was referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu but she died on the way near Akhnoor.
Her body was brought back to Rajouri hospital and after performing legal formalities by police team led by SI Vikram Singh, was handed over to the family for last rites today.
