REASI, Sept 8: A minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in the fields in Mahore area of district Reasi today.
A police spokesman said that incident took place when 13-year girl daughter of one Abdul Rehman had gone to the nearby fields at village Saarh Bahal for grazing her cattle. A youth namely Altaf Hussain (30), son of Bashir Ahmed of the same village caught hold of the girl and committed sexual assaults on her.
The girl returned home and narrated the matter to her parents. The family lodged an FIR No. 72/2012 against the accused who was absconding. The police got the medical examination of the victim conducted at Mahore hospital and started investigation.
