KATHUA, Dec 12: A minor girl aged six years was allegedly raped at village Saprain, situated near Chadwal in tehsil Hiranagar last evening. The accused was identified as Sushil Kumar alias Shimla 25, son of Mohan Lal resident of village Saprain tehsil Hiranagar stands arrested by police. The victim was shifted to GMC Jammu in serious condition after getting first aid from SDM Hiranagar.
The identity of the girl who is resident of Ward 14, Kathua has however not been disclosed. The victim was at her maternal uncle’s home at Chadwal where she was allegedly raped by Sushil.
Police said she had gone to spend her holidays at her maternal uncle’s residence. The victim was found in unconscious condition nearby her residence late in the evening by the villagers and they informed the Chadwal Police.
A police team reached on the spot and minor victim has been brought to SDH Hiranagar for treatment. Meanwhile, complaint has been registered against the accused and he has been arrested by the police after preliminary investigations.
Police is further investing the matter and the case under Section 376 RPC was registered said DSP border Ravial Singh.
