RAJOURI, June 16: A minor girl was allegedly raped at village Treru in Taryath area of Kalakote last night.
A police spokesman said that on the report lodged by the parents of the 15-year-old victim, a case FIR No. 36/ 2019 under sections 376/ 454/ 323 RPC has been registered against the accused, one Gulshan Singh, son of Karnail Singh, resident of Treru. They alleged that at around 10 pm last night, the accused barged into the house of victim when she was alone and committed rape on her. He also beaten up the girl when she resisted.
After her medical examination and performing legal formalities, the police has started investigation. The accused has gone underground, the police said.
