JAMMU, Sept 25: A girl has been raped by her friend’s brother in Puneja area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bhaderwah Police Station.
As per police sources, a 15-year-old girl hailing from Bhaderwah had gone to her friend’s house at Puneja, where her friend’s brother namely Murtaza Hussain, son of Zakir Hussain of Puneja raped her.
The accused threatened the victim of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
However, the girl mustered courage and narrated the ordeal to her family members, who lodged complaint in this regard with police.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the rapist.
