KISHTWAR, Dec 12: Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl within ten hours and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Station Kishtwar stating that his minor daughter has been kidnapped by unknown person.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 274/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation initiated.
During the course of investigation, SSP Kishtwar constituted a special team headed by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Abid Bukhari under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar.
Acting swiftly, the team recovered the kidnapped girl within ten hours and arrested the accused person from Thatri area of District Doda.
The accused person was identified as Munna Gram, son of Usman Ali Gram of Govind Pora, Tramipora, North 24 Calcutta State West Bengal.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
