RAMBAN, Oct 31: A minor boy was killed while two others were injured when the Tavera car they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge at Mandakbass area in Tehsil Khari, here this evening.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AR-3033 way on its way from Kawna to Khari, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into gorge at Mandakbass area, resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to two others.
After getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals shifted the injured persons to SDH Banihal, from where one of the injured was referred to SMHS Srinagar.
The body of the deceased identified as Shahid (14), son of Mohammad Amin of Khari was handed over to legal heirs after completing medical and legal formalities.
The injured have been identified as Zafar Abass (25), son of Ghulam Mohammad and Talib Hussain (25), son of Mohammad Saleem, both residents of Khari.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
