Minor killed, 4 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Nov 20: A minor was killed while four others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A police spokesman said an unknown Maruti van hit and injured a minor boy namely Faiq Firdous Hakeem near Hilal Abad Ibrahim Masjid in Qamarwari area here. “The injured boy was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries,” the spokesman said, adding a case has been registered in this regard. He said an Alto car JK09-6526 hit and injured a boy identified as Ifayat Ahmad Sofi near PC Depot in Barthana area here. “The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said an unknown motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar in Shalibugh locality of Shadipora in Ganderbal district. “The injured was shifted to JVC Hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said a motorcycle JK03-5979 collided with a Tata Sumo JK03-4655 on National Highway near Pazalpora in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. “The injured was shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
An unknown vehicle hit and injure an unknown lady pedestrian (mentally unsound) at Awantipora in Pulwama district, the police spokesman said, “The injured lady was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
