JAMMU, Oct 25: A youth was arrested today for allegedly raping a minor girl in Trikuta Nagar area.
A police spokesman said that on receipt of a complaint regarding rape of a minor girl hailing from Trikuta Nagar, police party from Trikuta Nagar Police Station swung into action and arrested the youth.
The youth has been identified as Usman of Nanak Nagar, he said, adding that the girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
A case under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Trikuta Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
