SRINAGAR : The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered a minor reshuffle in police department, transferring over a dozen senior officers.
The transfers were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here, an official spokesman said here.
Managing Director of J&K Police Housing Corporation Dilbagh Singh (IPS) has been transferred and posted as Director of Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur.
The post of Director SKPA Udhampur has been declared equivalent in rank and status to that of ADGP in terms of Rule 11(1) of IPS (Pay) Rules, 2007 till it is held by Singh.
Arun Kumar Choudhary, IGP Headquarters, has been transferred and posted as MD of J&K Police Housing Corporation. SKPA Udhampur Director Rajesh Kumar has been transferred and posted as IGP Headquarters.
IGP Traffic J P Singh has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Civil Military Liaison in the Home Department against an available vacancy.
Viplav Kumar, DIG, awaiting orders of adjustment in PHQ has been posted as DIG Traffic, Jammu relieving Ashkoor Ahmed Wani of the additional charge of the post.
Kumar shall also hold the charge of the post of incharge IGP Traffic, J&K till further orders.
Sunil Dutt, SSP CID Cell, New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, J&K Armed Police 4th Battalion (Bn) against an available vacancy.
Puran Chand Kilam, Additional SP CID Cell, New Delhi shall also hold the charge of the post of SSP CID Cell, New Delhi in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Suhail Munawar Mir, SSP Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as SSP PCR Srinagar vice Imtiyaz Hussain Mir, who has been posted as SSP Baramulla.
Rajeshwar Singh, AIG (Welfare) PHQ, has been transferred and posted as SSP Rajouri vice Mohammad Haseeb Mughal who shall await orders of posting in PHQ.
Sandeep Wazir, SP SSG, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kishtwar vice Mr Yougal Kumar, who has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commandant IRP 17th Bn against an available vacancy. (PTI)
