JAMMU, Aug 24: A minor girl succumbed to her burn injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) today evening, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Manisha (11), daughter of Joginder, a resident of RS Pura District Jammu.
On August 19 this year, a notorious criminal identified as Lucky Kumar, a resident of Purana Pind poured some inflammable substance on a house, in which four persons including this minor girl received injuries and was admitted in GMCH, where she failed to respond to treatment and died.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH for autopsy.
A case already stands registered in this regard at Police Station RS Pura and the accused has been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is also going on.
