JAMMU, Mar 21: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed serious concern over the discriminatory treatment meted out to Hindus and other minorities in J&K State by the Government.
Terming the situation totally volatile and grave in this border state which is grappling with cross border terrorism for last over 23 years, RSS Sangchalak Brig (retd) Suchet Singh told reporters that it is unfortunate that the public representatives who are under an oath to Constitution of the country also join the separatist forces in opposing the death sentence to mastermind of Parliament attack Afzal Guru. This is totally unfortunate that praiseworthy words are used on the floor of the House for him, he added.
Brig Singh said that the patriotic people of the State should not negate this and they should seriously ponder over the issue because how long this will continue.
Brig Singh who was flanked by RSS Karivah Purshotam Dadichi while briefing about the three days National Executive meeting of RSS held at Jaipur Rajasthan from March 15 to 17 said that various issues concerning the nation came up for discussion in the meet.
He said meeting also expressed concern over the treatment meted out to minority Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh and an appeal was made to Union Government that the lakhs of refugees who came from Pakistan and Bangladesh in the wake of atrocities committed on them by the communal forces and the Government of these countries be declared as refugees. Moreover the meet also demanded that the Governments of the two countries should be asked to ensure security of Hindu minorities in their countries, Brig added.
Brig. Singh said that 1493 RSS representatives from all over the world participated in the conference. He said at 28,788 places 43,056 Shakhas (RSS physical exercise) is held daily and in J&K at 105 places 190 Shakhas are held. Besides all over country 16,735 places weekly meet and 1, 33,397 programmes are held.
