SRINAGAR, Mar 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir today presided over Party leaders meeting at Srinagar party office.
JKPCC president also discussed the current situation and organizational affairs and activities in Kashmir. In a meeting with senior leaders, former legislators, District presidents and PCC office bearers, Mir received feedback on the organizational affairs and activities from the leaders in their respective blocks and districts, while discussing various other organizational activities to be started in coming days.
The meeting also discussed the ongoing membership drive of the Party in the districts across Kashmir and stressed the need to enroll maximum number of primary members, besides ensuring that the impressive number of members from ST, SC, OBC and other under privileged classes are enrolled aiming to give them adequate representation in the party.
Mir said Congress Party shall continue to work for the wellbeing of the people while raising its voice against discrimination, injustice and indifferent attitude meted out to people under the present dispensation at Centre.
Mir expressed confidence that Congress across the country will emerge more stronger due to its pro people policies and constructive approach towards resolution of issues concerning every section of people living in the country. Mir further asked the Party workers to carry forward party’s mission to serve people best, which will continue to remain legacy of the party.
On this occasion, the Digital membership of the Party also came under discussion. JKPCC president declared that party is going to launch Digital Membership in coming day to ensure enrolment of primary and active members in far-flung areas also across J&K.
