SRINAGAR, June 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday reiterated that Verinag Kapran-Dooru Dodhwagan road must be completed to ensure respite to people living in tribal, far-flung and other adjacent areas of the road.
JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmad Mir expressed concern over the slow work on Verinag Kapran, Dooru Dodhwagan road surrounded by scores of tribal, far flung and other adjacent areas and added that people are facing problems due to the delay in completion of this vital road.
“This important road project has over stood its timeline,” he said, adding, the concerned authorities as well as the executing agency were bound to take effective measure to speed up the work and complete it at an earliest.
Mir said the developmental projects started during UPA-I and UPA-II in J&K have come to standstill. He said many vital under-construction projects were waiting for their completion for a long time and they need to be completed without any further loss of time, in the larger interests of people.
The JKPCC president sought early completion of this (Verinag Kapran- Dooru Dodhwagan Road) road and other under construction developmental projects in J&K, on war footing basis.
