SRINAGAR, Apr 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir today slammed JKPSC for six day’s notice for JKAS mains examination.
Mir termed six days’ notice by JKPSC as a blatant violation of JKPSC Business & Procedure Rules and sought immediate corrective measures.
In a statement, JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmad Mir said the JKPSC cannot be bias and ruin the career of JKAS aspirants by violating the rules.
Mir said conduct of JKPSC Mains within a short notice amounts to ruining the career of aspirants, which should not happen.
He said HC had reportedly directed PSC to include six students to appear in Mains exam, subsequently the mains exam were deferred indefinitely via a notice released on March 9, 2022, then HC dismissed petition on Ist April, but the JKPSC came out with new date sheet and admit cards within hours of HC decision, which is quite astonishing.
Adding that there are various preferences for giving at atleast 30 days’ notice, besides every working aspirant in job has to be given 15 days’ notice for leave more than three days that too has not been followed by the JKPSC.
JKPCC leader said large number of aspirants are currently working in different states of the country, how can they manage their travel schedule and other immediate issues concerning them, besides there are various other aspirants who belong to far flung areas of J&K even their connectivity issues have not be taken care.
Mir said the attitude of the JKPSC is indeed a matter of grave concern of JKAS aspirants, urging it to reschedule the exams with sufficient time to be given to aspirants in order to make preparation for the exams.
