JAMMU, Mar 27: G.H. Mir, former Minister, called on Governor N. N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Mir discussed with the Governor various important issues which relate to the challenges being faced in J&K and the steps required for engendering an environment which could promote peace and normalcy.
Prof. R.P. Tandon, Head, Department of Physics and Astro Physics, University of Delhi also called on Governor.
Prof. Tandon shared with Governor his views about the need to achieve qualitative improvement in the State’s higher education.
Governor emphasised the vital importance of University’s ensuring high academic standards in every discipline and meaningful research in priority areas.
