JAMMU, Oct 15: After joining Congress party at Delhi on Monday , Shafiq Mir Chairman All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference had offered his resignation to the Panchayat Conference general secretary, Anil Sharma requesting to relive him from the responsibility.
However, while appreciating the efforts of Shafiq Mir in strengthening Panchayati Raj in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Sharma has requested Mir to continue as Chairman of AJKPC till the final decision is taken in the executive body meeting of AJKPC scheduled to be held at Srinagar in the last week of October.
