DODA, Mar 17: The officers of Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) had a miraculous escape as their boat capsized in river Chenab near Sui Gawari area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kahara Police Post.
As per police spokesman, seven officers of BDA including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and trainers had a narrow escape when their boat capsized in river Chenab near Sui Gawari area in between Prem Nagar and Pul Doda
The BDA officers and some trainers were on expedition in the area when their boat capsized, but all of them were rescued safely, he added.
The incident took place in the afternoon and within no time police, army and other rescue teams were rushed to the spot, the official said, adding that among the seven persons, one woman officer of the Tourism Department was also rescued.
