Miraculous escape for passengers as landslide hits bus

KATHUA, Apr 26: Around 45 passengers had a miraculous escape when the bus they were traveling in was hit by a landslide on Bani road today evening.
As per police sources, a bus was on its way to Bani from Jammu when it was hit by a landslide at village Gerra on Bani road.
The driver showed presence of mind and controlled the bus from felling into the deep gorge. To save their lives, the driver and passengers jumped out of the bus.
It is pertinent to mention here that the road widening work is going on the Bani road and is being executed by BRO. The cutting of rocks for widening of the road is in progress and many times, the traffic movement has to be put on halt. The bus had almost crossed the stretch, when the landslide hit it.
No loss of life has been reported, while the bus got minor damaged in the incident.
