UDHAMPUR, May 15: An auto driver, who was missing since yesterday, was today found dead in a canal near Railway Station Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Sudesh Kumar (28), son of Bhaishan Dutt, resident of Ossu Khera of Udhampur. His father had yesterday lodged a written report at Police Station Udhampur, according to which the deceased was missing since yesterday while his auto bearing registration number JK02J-6456, was found stranded near canal at Railway Station Udhampur.
After a search was launched to trace the missing auto driver, Police and SDRF team recovered his dead body from the canal. Father of the deceased alleged that his son was murdered and hoped that the Police would sincerely investigate the case.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members.
