UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: A young girl, who was missing since last evening, was today found dead in a gorge near a hillock at village Satyalta in Ghordi area of Udhampur district.
The deceased was identified as Shobha Devi (21), daughter of Charan Dass of Satyalta, Ghordi. Police shifted the dead body to hospital and later handed it over to the family members after postmortem and completion of other legal formalities.
According to the police, the girl had gone to some work last evening but did not return home. She had apparently slipped from the hill top and fell into the deep gorge resulting into her death.
However, Police has registered a case in this connection under 174 RPC for further investigation.
