Missing girl reunited with family, rumour-monger arrested

JAMMU, Feb 20: Bagh-e-Bahu police traced out a missing girl and reunited with her family. However, a case has been registered against miscreants for trying to exploit this missing case by giving it a different flare and one rumour monger has been arrested.
As per police spokesman, on February 16 this year, a written complaint was received from Ali Mohammad at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu regarding missing of his minor daughter from her home.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 15/19 under section 363 RPC was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and hunt was launched to trace out the missing girl.
During investigation, the missing girl was traced out within a span of 48 hours and the girl was produced before the Court for recording of her statement. In the statement, the girl revealed that she left her home on February 15 morning as her family member were mistreating her and she was not happy that treatment.
“It is pertinent to mention here that some rumour mongers tried to exploit this case by giving it a different flare, which the girl denied in her statement before the Court”, spokesman said, adding that a case under FIR Number 18/19 under section 153-A, 505 and 120 RPC has been registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation is going on.
Spokesman informed that one miscreant has been arrested and others will be booked accordingly.
