KISHTWAR, Dec 11: The body of a missing girl was found from river Chenab near Hasti nallah here today.
As per police sources, body of missing girl identified as Rehila Bano (20), daughter of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, a resident of Tund, district Kishtwar was recovered from river Chenab near Hasti nallah.
Some passerby noticed the body in the Hasti nallah and immediately informed the police.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital Kishtwar, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
The girl was missing since November 14, 2014 and a complaint in this regard also stands registered with Hidiyal police post.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
