Missing man among 2 found dead; Principal HSS Kud injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: In separate cases, a missing man among two persons were found dead under mysterious circumstances while Principal of Higher Secondary School Kud was injured in a road accident, here today.
The body of Rattan Chand (44), son of Bali Ram of Jakhad, was found lying in Tawi river at Dudu area, this morning. On being informed by some locals, Police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary of PHC Dudu.
According to the family members, the deceased was missing since last Friday. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC and further investigation is going on.
In a similar case, one Sohan Lal (33), son of Som Nath of Kotli Balla, was found dead in road side drain near Domail Chowk TCP Udhampur, under mysterious circumstances.
A Police team, led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Vijay Choudhary rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to DH Udhampur for postmortem. Cause of death could not be ascertained while Police has registered the case under Section 174 for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Principal of Higher Secondary School Kud was critically injured when he was hit by a rashly driven Scooty near District Hospital, Dhar Road Udhampur.
The victim, namely Mohamed Mushtaq Wani (59), son of Faroz Din of Housing Colony Udhampur, was crossing the road when an unidentified scooty hit him. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur from where he was referred to DMC Ludhiana.
