POONCH, Feb 20: The dead body of missing villager was recovered from Suran river at Surankote today.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as Kamal Din (40), son of Qadra, resident of Malhan area of Surankote tehsil in disrtrict Poonch.
The family members said that Kamal Din was missing since Wednesday and they were looking for him. In this connection, they also lodged a written complaint at Police Station, Surankote.
Today, some villagers noticed the bodty lying in the river down-stream, Malhan and informed police. Surankote police shifted the body to local Sub District Hospital and later handed over to the family after post-mortem. The police claimed to have initiated inquest proceedings.
