Missing minor boy reunited with family

JAMMU, June 21: Janipur Police along with some local volunteers traced out a missing boy within 24 hours and reunited him with his family.
As per police sources, on June 19 this year, a complaint was filed by Karan Mahajan, son of Sham Lal Gupta of Housing Colony with Janipur Police Station stating that his tenant Girdhari Lal’s son namely Sunil Kumar (14) went missing.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 44/2020 under section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and hunt was launched to recover the missing boy.
Special teams were deputed to different locations and finally a team from Janipur Police Station led by SI Jarnail Singh and assisted by social activist Nitin Pandita and Karan Mahajan recovered the minor boy from forest area near Chenani-Nashri tunnel.
After completing legal formalities, the boy was handed over to legal heirs.
The boy was traced out under the supervision of SHO Janipur Inspector Naresh Sharma, SDPO West Amit Sharma, SP City PD Nitya and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
