SRINAGAR, Aug 9: Police today recovered body of a missing person in Sopore area of Baramulla district.
The body of 24 year old Mehraj-ud-Din Yatoo, a resident of Goshbugh Pattan, was recovered at Gund Brath in Sopore. His face was decomposed and his hands were tied, the police said.
The family of the deceased had registered a missing complaint earlier in police station Pattan. The police said that preliminarily investigation suggests that the person has been murdered. “His hands were tied behind his back and it points out that he was murdered,” the police said, adding, “Further probe is on”.
The post-mortem of the body was underway when this report was being filed.
