UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: A missing youth was found dead in forest area of Margana village in Chenani under suspicious circumstances while reports suggest that overdoes of drugs was apparent cause of death.
Police said that dead body of Mohd Farooq (20), son of Hussain Din Gujjar, resident of Chullyar in Chenani Tehsil, was spotted late last evening in forest area by some locals.
On receiving the information, a police team, led by SHO Chenani, Inspector Sarweshwar Singh, reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of SDH Chenani.
The deceased was missing since April 22 and a report in this regard had been lodged at Chenani Police Station on April 23.
According to the sources, overdose of drugs was apparent cause of death while Police have initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC for further investigation.
