Missing youth found dead in Tawi; one killed, 2 injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Mar 17: A college student, who was missing since yesterday, was found dead in Tawi river near Dwana Bridge in Latti area while one person died and two others were injured in a road accident near Tikri, here today.
According to the police, body of Shiv Kumar (20), son of Roshan Lal of village Sarota Chapper, Tehsil Latti, was spotted by some locals this morning in Tawi river near Dwana Bridge. On being informed, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of PHC Latti for postmortem and other legal formalities,
According to the family members, the deceased was a student of second year and had been missing since yesterday. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC and further investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, a Tavera car bearing number JK11/ 6419, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, plunged into gorge near Tikri Temple resulting into death of one person and injuries to two others.
The deceased was identified as Faisal (30), son of Ab Rashid of Mohalla Jamia Baramulla. The injured were identified as Mohd Rafiq (26), son of Gh Rasool of Dardpura Baramulla Kashmir and Gohar (24), son of Mohi-ud-Din of Pampora Pulwama. They were shifted to PHC Tikri for treatment.
