REASI, Feb 23: A youth was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances near Bavli in Trintha area of Reasi.
The deceased was identified as Ranjit Kumar, age 20 years, son of Ramesh Kumar of Marhi, Reasi. He was missing since last Sunday.
On receiving the information, police team reached the spot and started investigation by taking the body in its possession. The body was later handed over to the family members after postmortem in the district hospital Reasi.
According to family members of the deceased, Ranjit Kumar was missing since Sunday and all out efforts were being made to trace him. On Monday evening, his motorcycle was recovered from Bavli in Trintha area of Reasi while this morning, his body was found hanging from a tree in the forest area near Bavli at Tirintha Reasi.
A case in this regard was also registered at PS Reasi for further investigation.
