POONCH, Nov 4: A youth missing from Mandi area of Poonch for the last two years, was nabbed with two pistols by Army in Gulmarg area today.
A senior police official said that the youth identified as Nazir Hussain (25), son of Abdul Ghani, resident of village Chaprian in Sabjian area of Mandi in Poonch, was reported missing by the family members on May 25, 2010. The family had also lodged a missing report with the Mandi police.
Today, the youth was nabbed by Army authorities from Gulmarg area of Kashmir along with two Chinese pistols. The youth was arrested and placed under questioning. The matter was reported to Poonch police by an Army unit located in Mountainous Gulmarg area.
SP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain dispatched a police party to Gulmarg to seek the custody of the arrested missing youth. The police had some inputs regarding his joining militancy. Further details were awaited.
