POONCH, Apr 27: The semi-decomposed body of a missing youth was recovered from a ‘Dhok’ in higher reaches of Loran area in tehsil Mandi today.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Zaffar Iqbal, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Chaktru village in Mandi. The youth was going to be married on April 21 but he went missing mysteriously on April 3, 2013 from the village. The family members were searching for him since then and they had also lodged a missing report with Mandi Police.
A villager spotted the semi-decomposed body lying in an abandoned `dhok’ in Loran area and informed police. The face of the deceased had been disfigured. The police reached the spot and family members of the victim identified him. Later, body was shifted for postmortem to Mandi hospital. The police has registered a case and started investigation under Section 174 CrPC.
