*Announces additional dialysis machine for GMC

DODA, Dec 18: Mission Director National Health Mission J&K Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today visited Doda district and reviewed the implementation of national health programs and took stock of the functioning of newly established Oxygen Generation Plant in the Medical College Hospital.
The MD stressed on proper maintenance of Oxygen Generation Plants and availability of oxygen supply on the bed points in view of possible third Covid wave. “Oxygen availability is going to be a critical component in dealing with the scare of Covid-19 and hence its proper maintenance shall be ensured by all means” , he added.
The MD NHM asked the Chief Medical Officer to validate the oxygen concentrators and ventilators made available to the district and check the availability of the same in the PHCs and CHCs.
Hundred percent saturation of the families/individuals under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT scheme was also stressed upon. The CMO was asked to place the VLEs in the DC office and at the Sub divisional offices, CHCs, PHCs, Tehsil and Block offices to register the people. The BMOs and GMC authorities were asked to put into use the payouts of Ayushman Bharat pending at their levels as per the guidelines.
While reviewing the implementation of the PM National Dialysis program, the MD NHM announced that an additional machine will be provided to the institution for the smooth functioning of the unit.
The CMO Doda sought a same unit for CHC Bhaderwah and the MD NHM assured to consider the demand in future.
The MD NHM also reviewed the functioning of 108 and 102 services and apprised the meeting about another 104 service being started by the government through which a person can get the information about availability of various health services without getting into trouble of searching the same unknowingly here and there. He asked all to give wide publicity to these services in their respective jurisdictions.
Regarding availability of ambulances, the MD NHM informed that the department is going to provide two additional 4*4 Sumo ambulances in the far flung areas this winter. He stressed on maximum institutional deliveries with timely payments of incentives under JSSY and free of cost availability of ambulance services to the pregnant ladies under JSSK scheme without any fail.
Further the MD NHM directed the CMO to expedite the screening of population for the early detection of TB on the pattern of door to door Vaccination as the UT govt has set the target of achieving the distinction of being first free from TB UT in the country. He also asked them to expedite and increase the financial assistance to the students under RBSK scheme.
Meanwhile, the DC Doda and Director Coordination New Medical Colleges directed the executing agency of PWD to stick to the guidelines so that the hostels and Main Administrative block is completed by or before the end of this year.
Moreover the DC directed the concerned to mobilise all the key material and manpower in double shifts so that the prestigious project shall be completed at an earliest.
DG Family Welfare, Immunisation Dr Salim Ur Rehman, DC Doda Vikas Sharma, Director Coordination New Collges Dr Yashpal, Additional Secretary H&ME Vipan Singh Charak, Principal GMC Doda Dr Noor Ali, besides other officers and Officials were also present in the meeting.
