JAMMU, Dec 23: Under the guidance of its CEO Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Mission Youth J&K today organized awareness programme in collaboration with the Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu in the college premises to generate awareness about its schemes among the students and NSS volunteers so that they can further disseminate the information among the people by acting as Ambassadors of the Mission Youth.
Principal of the College Prof Aketa Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion while as Gourav Gupta, OSD Mission Youth and Dr Abdul Khabir, Deputy Director Tribal Affairs Department Jammu were the Resource Persons.
The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries followed by felicitation of NSS volunteers and students as Ambassadors of the Mission Youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College said that NSS volunteers and students of the College will act as Ambassadors of the Mission Youth by further spreading the information about the schemes during their outreach activities.
OSD Mission Youth Gourav Gupta and Deputy Director Tribal Affairs Dr Abdul Khabir apprised the gathering about different schemes of the Mission Youth like MUMKIN—Livelihood Generation Scheme,  Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative, Tejaswani—the Radiant, SAHYTA Program, Young Innovators Program, Sector Specific Scheme for Dental Professionals and Skill Development and Tourist Village Network.
They hoped that NSS volunteers and students of the Govt College of Education would educate the people about the schemes of the Mission Youth so that more and more people can avail benefit of the same.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Dr Shubhra Jamwal, NSS Programme Officer appreciated the Mission Youth for collaborating with the GCOE for such an informative awareness programme and said that NSS volunteers will leave no stone unturned to further disseminate the information among the people.
Prof S K Sharma, Prof Shalini Rana, Prof Deep Bangota, Prof Seema, Prof Shapia Shameem and Prof Vinay Lata were also present on the occasion. Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Sarita Dogra.
