JAMMU, Apr 18: A team of Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Welfare Society (MKBYWS) today visited holy shrine at Tulmulla, Ganderbal in Central Kashmir to take the stock of arrangements for the annual Yatra.
The team led by convener of the Society, Kiran Wattal started the illumination of holy shrine with LED lights as usual. Kiran Wattal said entire premises of shrine will be illuminated as yesteryears during the annual yatra held on Jeshta Ashtami the birthday of Mata and illumination of shrine will continue up to Ashad Ashtami this year also.
Prior to starting the illumination work a symbolic Puja Archna was held at holy shrine by the team of Society members and devotees. The team, while assessing the other arrangements said like earlier years, this year also the Society will make all arrangements for pilgrims right from Jammu to holy shrine en route.
The Society also made an appeal to Government to make elaborate tented accommodation for the pilgrims in the shrine area so that the yatri coming from different parts of country do not face any problem in the event of bad weather.
