RAJOURI, Nov 22: Member Legislative Assembly Nowshera, Ravinder Raina and his men today locked an official of a private agency involved in making Aadhar Cards in his room at Tehsil Complex Nowshera and allegedly beaten him up severely.
The handicapped official of the private agency, Comptech, identified as Khaliq Hussain was deployed at Nowshera in the office of SDM/ Tehsildar to prepare Aadhar cards of the public.
He alleged that BJP MLA Ravinder Raina along with some men arrived in his office at around 6 pm and bolted the door from inside and started abusing and thrashing him on the allegations that he was demanding money from the people. The clerk was later removed to SDH Nowshera by the staff. The doctors at SDH Nowshera later referred him to District Hospital, Rajouri.
While the ASP Nowshera Master Popsy and concerned SHO maintained silence on the issue, the Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary when contacted said that the matter came to his notice in the evening. He said MLA has denied the incident and he has directed Addl DC Rajouri and SDM Nowshera to hold detailed inquiry.
