MENDHAR, Jan 8: Continuing with his mission to reach up to people living on zero line, along the Line of Control, Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Rana today conducted tour of Baruti and Baryani Gali areas of Balakote sub sector in Mendhar constituency and listened to the issues of the people.
The MLA was accompanied by a number of senior officers of District Administration and Sub Divisional Administration including District officers of departments directly linked with masses on ground.
A public meeting was held in the village located ahead of LoC fence under the shadow of guns deployed on both the sides. A large number of local people appraised Legislator about the issues prevailing on ground which primarily included poor health care services in local health institution.
Taking note of public issues, Legislator announced on the spot to provide an ambulance from his CD fund in local Health Institution besides taking up the matter with senior officers to provide required staff and infrastructure in institution to make it fully functional.
Rana also assured people of every possible effort to upgrade the education facilities in the area and said that up-gradation of local Government school is one of his prime priority.
He further presented a road map development of infrastructure and ensuring provision of basic amenities among the local population. He also asked Government officers to ensure visiting such extreme LoC villages atleast twice a month for spot redressal of the border population.
Rana also gave a message of peace on LoC and said that both India and Pakistan should invest effort to restore complete normalcy on LoC and said that frequent incidents of firing on LoC is putting lives of masses, including Army jawans, in risk.
