MLA Bani takes review meeting, distributes LPG connections

KATHUA, Nov 25:  M.L.A Bani, Jewan Lal convened a review meeting of various ongoing works including implementation of C.D Scheme, MGNREGA, Road works, tourism infrastructure & issued instructions to the officers to complete all ongoing works in time bound. He expressed concern over non clearance of liability of MGNREGA and IAY. The MLA urged the concerned B.D.Os to direct V.L.Ws to conduct Gram Sabha before finalizing Panchayat Plans.
Jewan Lal also urged officials of CA&PD to supply ration to the consumers and make adequate stocking of ration in remote areas which remain cut off during Winter.
He said that Centre and State Governments are committed for equitable development of all regions and special focus is being given to boost tourism and road connectivity in remote areas of Jammu region. He said various pro poor schemes have been launched by the Centre and State Government such as Gramin Avass Yozna, Krishi Fasal Bima, Krishi Sanchai Scheme, Soil Health Card, Ujjwala Yozna, Ladli Beti, Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao, N.F.S.A, Mudra Bank, Skill India, Start up- Stand up.
He said that recently surgical strike on terrorists camps and demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes are historic steps of the NDA Government led by PM Narender Modi . He said that Modi Government at the Centre and State coalition Government is committed to bring transparency in the governance and check corruption. He slammed the opposition for shielding the hoarders of black money and fake currency and said that this is the biggest step to check the militancy and Naxalism which are causing a grave threat to national unity and integrity.
He also distributed LPG connections under the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), at Bani and 638 connections were distributed among the beneficiaries. The function was organized by the Indian LPG Gas Agency Bani and was attended by the prominent citizens and general public.
