RAJOURI, Nov 21: Javed Iqbal Choudhary, MLA Budhal, today visited Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University to interact with new Vice Chancellor, Prof Jawaid Iqbal and to obtain a first hand assessment of the campus affairs.
“I have tried to understand some of the problems the University is currently facing, particularly in financial, infrastructural and logistics matters. I have assured the University authorities of my every possible support and taking up of the matters with relevant authorities, including Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah”, Javed said.
The MLA said that the BGSB University is an institution of critical importance and pride for the people of Rajouri and Poonch and we must make all possible efforts for its future growth.
“I have suggested some ideas for expert discussion which include linking all Colleges in Rajouri and Poonch with BGSBU as affiliating University, attracting more students under PM Scholarship, investing more in hands-on research to give students a wide exposure”, he added.
Together with employability, it is also important to broaden the knowledge and imagination of our students and scholars as thought leaders of tomorrow. MLA said he is confident that under leadership of new VC Prof Jawaid and competent administration of Registrar Shahbaz Mirza, a bureaucrat of proven integrity, the University is poised to march towards glory.
