SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Prominent Gujjar leader and MLA Kangan, Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed concern over the poor condition of tribal community living in different areas of Bandipora.
In a statement, Mian Altaf said that several tribal areas where Gujjar population is residing are without basic amenities like water, electricity and health facilities.
He urged the administration to ensure that developmental works are taken up for the welfare of tribal people.
He said that funds released under schedule tribe and scheduled caste schemes are not properly used.
On a visit to Bandipora, Mian Altaf was apprised by the locals about their problems like unemployment, lack of development etc.
