MLA flags off farmers’ group for training under MIDH

JAMMU, Nov 28: MLA Samba Devinder Kumar Manyal today flagged off a group of 28 farmers from various horticulture zones of the district for training under “Human Resource Development” component of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme.
The farmers will be imparted training at Advance Centre for Horticulture Development (ACHD) Ramban, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Reasi and departmental nurseries at Ramban, Reasi including orchards of progressive orchardists at Akhnoor.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA stressed upon the farmers/orchardists to avail maximum benefit of centrally sponsored schemes especially flagship programmes like Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
In his welcome address, Chief Horticulture Officer Samba, C. L. Sharma briefed the farmers about tour programme and highlighted the latest horticulture technology.
Sarbjeet Singh District Level Subject Matter Specialist (PP) Samba, Anju Kumari Horticulture Development Officer Samba, Shrestha Gaur Horticulture Development Officer Ghagwal, Parminder Singh Horticulture Development Officer Vijaypur Ext. and Dheeraj Kumar Horticulture Development Officer Purmandal were also present on the occasion.
