MLA inspects educational institutions, developmental works

UDHAMPUR, Aug 1:  Member Legislative Assembly Chenani Constituency Dina Nath Bhagat today conducted an extensive tour of various areas of the  constituency and inspected various educational and health  institutions, besides took stock of pace of developmental works.
Inspecting the Government Higher Secondary School, Barmeen, Government High School,  Kaldi and Government Primary Health Centre Kodli, the MLA found that school premises  and other conveniences in the schools were  in shamble.  He directed the heads of the institutions for making proper arrangements of cleanliness.
Interacting with the teaching fraternity, Mr. Bhagat stressed the need for imparting quality education among students, saying that it would enable them to compete in various competitive examinations and build  them at par with  their other counterparts.
Addressing the public gathering at Koldi, the MLA reiterated Government’s commitment  for holistic and comprehensive development of the state,  saying that socio-economic welfare of the people living in far flung and backward areas is among the  priorities of the present dispensation.
Responding to demands of people at Koldi, Mr. Bhagat directed the Executive Engineer, Power for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the area. He directed the concerned for  preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPRs)  for taking up of construction work of  lane from main road to Panyal village, adding that the funds would be provided from CDF for the purpose.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated a medical fair-price shop at Koldi.
En-route, responding to demands projected by various deputations and individuals relating to water and power supply, deployment of adequate staff in educational and health institutions, the MLA assured that their genuine demands would be taken-up with concerned quarters for their early redressal.
