KATHUA, Mar 26: Member Legislative Assembly, Kathua Dr. Bharat Bhushan, today started macadamization work of a road from Maghar Khad to Kukey Chak.
The macadamization work will be accomplished at an estimated cost of 27 lakhs.
Ajay Kumar, former Councillor of Ward No 1, Shashi Paul Sharma, Babu Ram Sharma, Deputy Director, Planning (retd.) Karan Singh, former Chairman of Kathua Cooperative Society, Gurcharan Singh Billa, former Chairman, Panchyati Adalat, Romesh Gupta former Sarpanch Hatli and locals of the area were present on the occasion.
Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Avinash Gupta outlined the salient features of the road which was in dilapidated condition since last many years.
This development project aims to improve the infrastructure and connectivity in Parliwand area of Kathua. The blacktopping of the road will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area but also provide a smoother and safer commute for residents.
