JAMMU, Apr 11: A Public Darbar was held today at the Panchayat Ghar, Pamote, chaired by MLA Baldev Raj Sharma of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency. The interactive session drew participation from key administrative and departmental officials, including the SDM Katra, Project Director NHAI, XENs of PWD and PHE Reasi, DySP Katra, AEE PDD Katra, Range Officer Katra, Naib Tehsildar Panthal, and TSO Katra.
A large turnout from Panchayat Sool voiced several pressing issues, primarily stemming from the ongoing construction of the ExpressWay, which has reportedly disrupted daily life and local infrastructure. On this occasion several residents of Panchayat Sool of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency present in the meeting with their problems faced by them.
Residents of Moori said that due to the construction of ExpressWay the connecting roads to their villages are fully damaged. They also said that middle school was also damaged. The inhabitants of village Latori said that Nomain to Latori road was damaged due to moving of heavy vehicles for construction Latori tower. The residents of area also expressed that due to construction of the Expressway, water pipes of the PHE Department have totally damaged creating scarcity of water supply. Baldev Raj Sharma along with Project Director NHAI paid a visit to the damage sites particularly Middle School Moori and asked authorities to create 4 rooms at an earliest. They also visited Shamshan Ghat Kandyar which was also affected due to construction work and directed the authorities for repair the said work they also visited Primary School Mayari and asked the authorities to repair the road approach to the school and the protection work which was damage due to construction of ExpressWay. They also visited the temple damaged due to the said construction.
The Project Director assured that all problems faced by the residents of the area will be fulfilled in a stipulated time frame. Baldev Raj Sharma also visited Middle School Pamote, where the condition of the 3 Class rooms was found critical, the XEN PWD was directed to submit repair estimate without delay.
